Type Of Navratri

Yes, there are four types of Navratri that are celebrated in a year. The two most popular Navratris are Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri.

Chaitra Navratri is celebrated in the springtime, in the month of Chaitra (March-April). It is also known as Vasant Navratri or the “spring Navratri.” This Navratri is associated with the victory of good over evil and is a time for new beginnings.
Sharad Navratri is celebrated in the autumn, in the month of Ashvin (September-October). It is also known as Maha Navratri or the “great Navratri.” This Navratri is associated with the worship of the goddess Durga and is a time for prayer and devotion.

The other two types of Navratri are Magha Navratri and Ashada Navratri. These Navratris are not as widely celebrated as Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri, but they are still important to many Hindus.

Magha Navratri is celebrated in the winter, in the month of Magha (January-February). It is associated with the goddess Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and learning.
Ashada Navratri is celebrated in the summer, in the month of Ashadha (June-July). It is associated with the goddess Parvati, the wife of Shiva.
